Therapy support for a child or young person
Children 3-12 years

Pella offers child centred play therapy for young clients with each session being unique to your child's personality and stage of development.
Sessions are FUN and engaging. Children are welcomed to express what's going on in their world through the process of art and play.
The therapy environment provides a confidential creative space that invites the child's authentic expression of their inner world, providing understanding and awareness of current behaviours.

The therapist joins with the child to integrate experiences, supporting the development of their self awareness, emotional literacy and self esteem. Integrated in this process is the learning of tools and skills to support the child in their daily life.

The initial therapy session will include you as the parent or carer with your child and will involve questions to help understand the current and historical situation which provides context and understanding for the therapy. Subsequent sessions take place with the child only, after a brief chat with you at the start of the session.
